Multiple Image Plan

-To create an image inspired by Paul M Smith’s ‘This is not Pornography’ series.

-A mockery of Facebook photos where people take photos of themselves through a mirror

-Image will consist of one image from behind where a boy is looking into the mirror, and then his reflection will be a girl taking a photo of herself through a mirror with her camera using flash.

-I plan to take both photos from the same angle with the camera on a tripod to allow both images to edit much more easily.

-I’m aiming for the audience to find humour in the image as well as to ask key questions like ‘who?’ ‘what?’ and ‘why?’

-I’d like the image to have a documentary feel, with the photos taken to look slightly grainy. This is to hopefully exaggerate the reality of facebook and the photos that people post on their profile.

My Image

This is an image of my own in which I had to change the 'levels' using the white dropper as well as the image size. The white dropper is a quick way of adjusting the white balance where you choose an area that is the whitest part of your image and photoshop automatically adjusts the white balance to what it should be. The image size allows us to change the 'dpi' of the image to make it uploadable, I changed mine to 72dpi.

What I like about the edited version of this image is that the image has more depth, there is less grey thus making it look less flat. I feel this a more successful photo.
